LIGHTING DESIGN & NEW MEDIA

My preferred medium is light, which brings originality to every challenge I encounter. Through my multimedia and architectural lighting design experience, over a decade ago I had the vision to blend entertainment into architectural lighting, crafting engaging immersive experiences in urban spaces combined with cultural activities.

Through years of living and working in Africa, Oman, Copenhagen, New York, Montreal and Saudi Arabia, I have been inspired to develop an abstract and holistic creative approach that integrates cutting-edge technology and storytelling, delivering captivating experiences across many industries. My vision is to breathe life into our environments, generate a positive impact, and craft unique experiences focused on wellbeing that transcend the ordinary through lighting and digital media. I draw on the stories of ancient wonders, nature, light, illusion, interactivity and innovation to blend the digital and physical worlds.

My journey then brought me to Saudi Arabia, starting in Jeddah, where I worked as an Architectural Lighting Designer at Zuhair Fayez Partnership, and Multimedia Experience Director at Midvam. I then joined the Experience Studio at New Murabba, developing hundreds of multimedia experience, lighting concepts for the development’s indoor and outdoor spaces, including its linear park, an indoor immersive dome, and retail, hospitality and entertainment experiences.

Today I work independently as a designer and entrepreneur, building Lightbath: a meditative light and sound experience for hotels, residences and health clubs, designed for calm, rest and recovery in an overstimulated world.

As Multimedia Director, I art direct and conceptualize stories, digital content and mood for cultural events, urban spaces and media architecture: generative digital art, immersive multimedia experiences for brands and events, interactive installations and large-scale multi-sensory experiences, permanent and temporary art installations, stage design for contemporary operas, and mixed media projects in XR, VR and AR.

As Lighting Designer, I convey coherent ideas and elaborate concepts for architecture, urban projects, and permanent and temporary installations. My unique sketch design creates eye-catching presentations that not only win over clients but also help electrical engineers and technical directors clearly understand the creative lighting intentions.
